Grant Writing Classes

Non- Profit Classes

About Us

Grant Writing Classes:

Our Grants Training Classes provide the most comprehensive, professional training currently available.  The classes consist of two modules:

  • ·        Non-Profit Module

  • ·        Grant Writing Module

The classes are taught through the Internet.  Students receive an email lesson each week for nine weeks.  They complete the written homework assignment and return it to the instructor, who makes comments and suggestions.  Students have extensive access to the instructor throughout the class period, and for two months following the close of the class (see below).  The instructor is a professional Grant Writer with thirty years experience in successful Grant Writing.

The Grant Writing Module develops the following skills:

  • ·         How to locate and identify potential funding resources

  • ·         How to write professional, persuasive grant proposals

  • ·         The etiquette and conventions of contacting and working with foundation, corporate and government funders

Nine lessons cover the following material (and much more):

  • ·         Introduction to the "Grants Economy" and grant writing as a career

  • ·         Overview of foundation, corporate and government funding resources, structure of the basic proposal, and organizing a search

  • ·         In-depth analysis of foundation funding, types of non-profit recipients, and types of support

  • ·         Overview of corporate and international funding

  • ·         Overview of government funding at the federal, state, and local levels

  • ·         Focus on Goals, Objectives, and the Evaluation plan

  • ·         Focus on Future Funding and preparing the Budget

  • ·         Focus on Needs Assessment, Program Description, Qualifications, Cover Sheet, Conclusions and Appendices

  • ·         First approach to funders, additional requirements for government proposals, utilizing cooperative proposals

Grants University instructors work closely with individual students to support them in their career development.  Students are encouraged and guided to prepare their initial proposals for a community organization, church, or school they support.  Students receive instructions on marketing their services.

Every student who enrolls in the Internet-based 9-week classes also has access to the instructor for an additional two-month period, during which he or she can complete any planned projects and have them reviewed and commented upon by our staff.

Here are some testimonials:

“Jillian and I are friends and mastermind partners – and now co-writers.  She has the ability to sit down with someone and support them in brainstorming projects and creative solutions.  She’s done it for me, and for many people I’ve referred to her.  Don’t miss a chance to work with her!”

The grant-writing tips and support I’ve received from Jill and GrantMeRich.com continues to be rather amazing. Jill is steadfast, generous, and on top of the ball in providing accessible grant-writing tools.  The weekly emailings, strategies and on-on-one advice are invaluable in developing winning grant proposals. Thanks so much Jill.”
